PACS could not provide the services and support to the community without the time and effort from many of our wonderful volunteers. Here are some volunteers that we have recognized in the past to highlight their tremendous contribution to PACS.
PACS' Volunteer Honorees - Before December 2023
Frank & Lisa Scharff
Lisa and Frank are not only a couple, but a volunteer duo who are hardworking, and an inspiration to those around them. Dedicated to our mission, Lisa and Frank always go above and beyond for anyone who needs a helping hand.
Both Lisa and Frank have been volunteering their time at PACS for almost three years. It began with Lisa looking for a way to give back to the community, and Frank following in his wife’s footsteps.
Lisa works in our Market to assist guests who come in for our services. She enjoys greeting the guests and making sure the Market stays fully stocked so everyone can get exactly what they need. Frank assists with our Retail Rescue program and the warehouse. He picks up Wawa multiple times a week, and helps with moving items on the loading dock.
Outside of our building, they represent PACS at community events to spread the word about our mission. When they aren’t helping out around PACS, they like to spend time with their grandchildren, travel, woodworking and tending to their koi pond.
Lisa and Frank are very community-oriented people. They find it very rewarding to help those who face food insecurity get the food that they need and deserve.
